Firstly, thank you again for yesterday’s fruitful and insightful meeting. It was my pleasure to finally meet you (and your staff) and to share ideas and to benefit from your insight and vast experience.

Secondly, I would like to verify my understanding of our verbal agreement obtained. Namely, pending resolution of current pandemic restrictions, we are both working toward a five (5) week Off-Broadway run on the Main Stage at The Players Theatre in the Spring (c. April – May) of 2022 for OH SOLEDAD: Musical of a Journey of Peace.

Thirdly, I am most thankful that you and your team like my musical – and especially the music! This is most encouraging.

Please know that we choose the most original, fresh and dynamic plays or musicals from among the submissions we receive. We have chosen your work because we believe your show will bring invaluable inspiration to our festival.

You're a Rave Finalist! - Update!

Congratulations Ken!

Your show OH SOLEDAD: A Musical Story of a Journey of Peace has been selected as a finalist for the second annual Rave Theater Festival.

We know you have been waiting to hear about this, and we thank you very much for your patience.

Due to the Coronavirus and its complications, we are exploring moving the festival to the second half of October. Postponement is our goal, however, as you are all aware, the situation is changing rapidly and we are awaiting more information from the CDC and the government on when we might be able to resume. Safety is our number one priority. Provided you are chosen as one of our selections, we also want to make sure you have enough of a runway of rehearsal weeks to produce the best show possible.

If you are selected for the festival, and we are given the "all clear" from the experts, we want to make sure it is still feasible for you to do so on this new timeline. If you are not able to produce your show this fall, your show will automatically be considered a finalist for the 2021 festival. Please respond here and let us know if you are chosen for the festival you would be able to produce your show in October. We don't need anything else from you at this time.

We hope to know more in the next 4-6 weeks, and we will let you know our plan as soon as possible, but we wanted to provide you with an update on where things currently stand, and give you the good news about your application!

The Rave Theater Festival was created to showcase emerging talent, and due to the quality and creativity of your submissions, this year's festival was shaping up to be truly outstanding. We are all missing human connection right now and theater festivals are a beautiful example of the sheer magic that happens when groups of people gather. We hope to get the chance to finish what we started safely, because now more than ever it is important to showcase the importance of art and humanity.

Thanks for bearing with us as we navigate these waters.
